I am looking for a HR Administrator to join my school-based client on a temporary basis.  The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and high quality HR administrative support service including co-ordinating cover on a daily basis.

Principal Accountabilities

• Organise staff cover on a daily basis

• Daily absence administration

• HR administrative processes

• Provide administrative support to the Head of School

Duties

• To organise staff cover and record relevant absences in Edupay HR system.

• To provide HR administrative support to the HR Lead and Senior Leadership Team and School office when required.

• Provide administrative support to the Head of School including diary management and events organisation.

• Support administration for onboarding employees ensuring that pre-employment documents are prepared, dispatched and processed.

• Prepare paperwork to instruct Trust Central Payroll of relevant changes i.e. new starters, leavers and other salary adjustments, within the specified payroll deadlines.

• Support administration of pre-employment checks.

• Assist in the update and maintenance of employees in the MIS personnel database

• Ensure that HR systems and documentation are maintained and updated i.e. Single Central Record • Assist in the recording of sickness absence and associated administrative processes

• To organise interview days as required

• To ensure the confidentiality of all HR matters

• To provide regular information to assist in the management of HR processes i.e. pay increments due, expiry of fixed term contracts, sickness certificates and fit notes required or overdue

• To assist in the administration of Occupational Health referrals

• To assist in the taking of notes/minutes of meetings as required

• Update and maintain employee records in the Edupay document store

• To assist in the administrative processes associated with advertising, selection and appointment of staff

• To type correspondence as requested by the HR Lead and Head of School

• Actively support continuing professional development

• General office duties i.e. photocopying, filing, shredding of confidential waste

• To carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the school policies and procedures, actively promoting the mainstreaming of equal opportunities.

• To undertake any other temporary duties, which may be reasonably required and commensurate with the grade of the post

General

• To participate in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identification of learning, development and training opportunities in discussion with line manager.

• To comply with individual responsibilities, in accordance with the role, for Health & Safety in the workplace
