Join our client in Brighouse as a HR Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting their dedicated team of approximately 90 employees. This dynamic and rewarding position is integral to their people strategy, focusing on emotional wellbeing, cultural growth, and people management.

KeyResponsibilities but not limited to:

  • Process Management Support: Manage casework including disputes, disciplinaries, grievances, absences, retirements, and redundancies. Support managers during these meetings to build their confidence and skills.
  • Policy Development: Create and implement HR policies to drive performance and ensure compliance in alignment with our company values.
  • -Employee Support: Address daily HR enquiries and support managers with team-related issues, ensuring a compassionate and efficient approach.
  • HR Strategy Alignment: Ensure HR strategies are consistently applied across the group, supporting change and aligning them with business goals.
  • Wellbeing: Champion employee wellbeing initiatives and offer support to management and staff to foster a supportive and healthy work environment.
  • Benefits and Rewards: Offer advice on employee benefits and work on reward strategies to enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Learning and Development: Provide coaching and personal development support to managers, enhancing their ability to lead effectively. Through driving the learning and development agenda, managing talent pools and succession planning to support our teams growth.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process, which may include writing job descriptions and overseeing new starter inductions, to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Administrative HR: Oversee employee-related paperwork such as employment contracts, new starter packs, and other essential documentation.
  • Sage HR: Oversee the management and development of Sage HR, ensuring it meets the needs of the business.
  • Appraisals and Feedback: Implement and manage a structured appraisal system to ensure one-to-one meetings are conducted and in alignment with our company culture and values.
  • Policy and Compliance: Keep HR policies up to date, ensuring compliance with the latest legal guidance and company standards.
  • Communication: Coordinate the quarterly newsletter across the group to keep all employees informed and engaged.

Experience:

  • CIPD Qualified: Essential
  • HR Experience: At least five years in a similar role, preferably within an SME
  • Sage HR Experience: Desirable
  • TUPE Experience: Desirable
