You have the opportunity to apply for a Mechanical Fitter position with a company that have been established since the late 1800s. Now employing over 1000 people worldwide, this engineering powerhouse supply into a number of high-profile industries including Defence, Power Generation and Oil & Gas.
Based in HUDDERSFIELD, just 10 minutes from the M62, this business is easily commutable from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter:
- Working within a highly skilled team responsible for building and assembling new industrial rotating machinery
- Working directly from technical drawings & instruction whilst ensuring a high quality of workmanship
- Compiling reports on the quality of components on gearboxes essential, recording serial/ cast numbers keeping all documents in order.
The Mechanical Fitter will:
- Hold formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or similar)
- Have previous experience working as a Mechanical Fitter within a heavy engineering environment
- Have experience of working with Gearboxes and Rotating Equipment
Working hours of the Mechanical Fitter:
Regular day shifts working 37 hours per week
- Monday to Wednesday - 07:30 to 16:15
- Thursday - 07:30 to 15:45
- Friday - 07:30 to 12:30
In return, the Mechanical Fitter will receive:
- Renumeration: 36,080.00 per annum
- Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including public holidays
- Immediate enrolment to the company pension scheme, up to 13% combined contribution
