We are working in partnership with secondary schools in Huddersfield who are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to teach History and Geography to Key Stage 3 and 4.We are looking for candidates who has relevant experience working with 11 - 16 year olds within the last 2 years. To be successful, you will be a Qualified Teacher (ECT's welcome to apply) and have recent experience of teaching Humanities across Key Stage 3 and 4. Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement schools' behaviour polices is also essential.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging history lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in history education and integrate new teaching methods and resources.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in History/Geography or a related field
  • PGCE / QTS certificate
  • Proven experience teaching history at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
