Are you an experienced production leader looking to take on a key management role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are hiring a Production Shift Manager for our Brighouse site (HD6 4BW). This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in overseeing operations during the evening shift, ensuring efficiency, quality, and team performance.

About the Role: As a Production Shift Manager, you will lead the 6pm-3am shift, managing all aspects of production to meet targets and maintain operational efficiency. You’ll take full ownership of the shift, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the production schedule is met, quality standards are upheld, and health and safety protocols are followed. Your leadership will be key to driving continuous improvement, motivating staff, and maintaining high levels of productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising production processes: Oversee all production activities during the evening shift, ensuring daily targets are met in line with quality standards.
  • Team leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop your team of operators, fostering a positive and productive working environment. You'll conduct regular performance reviews, provide training and support, and ensure your team has the resources they need to succeed.
  • Workflow optimization: Plan and coordinate production schedules, monitor stock levels, and allocate resources efficiently to maximize output. Proactively address any issues or bottlenecks that may impact production.
  • Continuous improvement: Implement and drive improvement initiatives to optimize production processes. Use performance data to identify areas for improvement and work with the team to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
  • Health and safety compliance: Ensure that all production activities adhere to health and safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to maintain a safe working environment for your team.
  • Quality control: Maintain rigorous quality standards throughout the shift, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer expectations. Address any quality issues promptly and work to implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Reporting and communication: Maintain clear communication with senior management, providing regular updates on production performance, staffing issues, and any operational challenges.
