A career as a cover supervisor can be very rewarding and can open up a wealth of opportunities to progress your career. You may be interested in becoming a teacher in the future, securing a role as a Cover supervisor could be the first step to achieving your ambitions. Our Cover Supervisor Direct programme is launching in March, and we have a very limited number of places available with reputable secondary schools across Kirklees who have partnered with us and are keen to support people into the profession with school-based and online training. We are looking for people who may possess one or more of the following:
- Has cared for a child with SEN or additional needs.
- Has worked within an adult or child-care setting.
- Has been a Teaching Assistant or cover supervisor in the past and is looking to return.
- Has worked in the Police, NHS, Care care homes, healthcare etc.
What the course entails:
- A two-day unpaid training placement within a secondary school in Huddersfield.
- Online training modules to complete.
- Full Safeguarding Training (online).
What you will need:
- A passion for supporting children within education.
- A wiliness to go above and beyond to help a child achieve.
- A good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Strong communication skills.
- Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential.
