Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a team supporting young people aged 6-18 with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, and additional needs. This role involves providing care, guidance, and emotional support, encouraging independence, and promoting personal development in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities for the Residential Support Worker
• Support young people with daily routines, healthy habits, and hobbies.
• Implement and follow individualized care plans.
• Build positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals.
• Provide emotional support while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Encourage community engagement and independence.
Requirements for the Residential Support Worker
• Experience working with young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People’s Workforce (preferred).
• Strong communication and empathetic skills.
• A manual UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
• Commitment to following care plans and supporting positive outcomes.
