Reed Finance are seeking an Interim Financial Controller with strong international experience to join our global client on an initial 6 month fixed term contract basis. This role will be leading a large team based across the UK and Europe, so previous experience leading teams of this nature is essential.  

This is a broad role that requires a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Financial Controller with substantial PQE. Our client are working on a hybrid basis and although this role is initially on a 6 month FTC, it could well be extended beyond this.

Please note, due to the interim nature of the role, the successful applicant will need to be available immediately or at under 2 weeks’ notice.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Overseeing internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Leading continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Overseeing cash flow management, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Providing oversight on long-term project accounting and financial aspects of business operations, challenging stakeholders where needed.
  • Identifying and managing financial risks and profit improvement opportunities.
  • Partnering with business units across a multi-currency global organisation to support decision-making.
  • Leading and developing a multinational financial shared services team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial control within an international PLC environment.
  • Experience in managing financial operations and project accounting in a multi-currency global organisation.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a large team (20+).
  • Expertise in financial reporting, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
