Site Agent

Site Agent - Required to join their fast growing, Heavy Civils Contractor based on the South Coast. Having been established for nearly 100 years, this company offers a comprehensive range of services, within the Civil Engineering industry, from conception through construction to project delivery. The Site Manager will be working on a site in Havant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing Project Close-Out reports and will assist in producing interim valuations and final accounts, considering variations and day works. Additionally, they will complete Plant and material requisitions as needed and submit returns on a weekly basis. They will also review and update the materials requirement list, including long lead items.

• Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE legislation and site rules, providing sufficient clean, spare PPE for immediate issue to those not properly equipped.
• Develop and update Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality Plans, as well as Waste Management Plan, Carbon Calculator, and Materials Management Plan in consultation with the Site/Project/Contracts Manager.
• Regularly develop and review method statements and risk assessments for all on-site work, including that of sub-contractors.
• Conduct weekly health, safety, and environmental inspections.
• Devise Lift Plans if qualified as an Appointed Person.
• Handle Incident Reports, and manage security and waste arrangements, including transfer notes.
• Ensure compliance with the environmental action plan.
• Obtain and comply with necessary licenses and consents.
• Promote a culture of safety, environmental awareness, and quality, recording achievements, and preparing and presenting site inductions and periodic toolbox talks and training sessions.
• Inform the Training Assistant/Site/Project Manager of any training needs of operatives.

• HND/C or BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or NVQ L4/5 in Construction Site Management
• CSCS Card
• 5 years' experience within a construction site environment
• SMSTS and CPCS Appointed Person
• Temporary Works Coordinator and fire warden
• Heavy civils, deep drainage and RC Works
• Knowledge of Plant, materials and labour costs
• Up to date knowledge of job-related health & safety
• Driving licence
• Excellent communication

• Salary: 50k - 60k
• 25 Days holiday + BH
