We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.

Job Summary:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide additional support to students who need it. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering dynamic lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to help them grasp lesson content and complete their work.
  • Assist with classroom management and uphold the school's behavior policies to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Offer tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) by adapting resources and strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Help with administrative duties such as preparing materials, setting up classroom equipment, and maintaining student records.
  • Engage in school activities, including field trips, extracurricular programs, and events, to enhance students' educational experiences.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff to support student progress and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics is required.
  • Previous experience working in a secondary school setting or with young people is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to different situations and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude, patience, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing learning environment for all students.
