Ignata Finance are exclusively working with a business based in Brighton for the recruitment of a Accounts Receivable Manager on a permanent basis.  This is an exciting role where you will be given an opportunity to support the Senior Management Accountant with the collection of outstanding debt. You will very quickly develop a strong understanding of the business in order to identify both new opportunities, and margin improvement opportunities. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. This role will be challenging, as your multiple priorities will change as they operate in a dynamicand fast-paced environment.  Due to the nature of the role you will ideally have the following:
  • Managing a team of AR
  • Experience of presenting to senior stakeholders/board level staff
  • Experience of working with cost centre managers
  Key Responsibilities
  • Able to demonstrate through key achievements where you have collected a large sum of money owed, reduced and improved the way collections are managed
  • Managing a team of credit controllers which will include all appraisals, target setting and performance reviews
  • Manage the recruitment process for new recruits
  • Responsible for the production of the debt analysis report (reporting risks, variances and further action)
  • Responsible for cashflow forecasting on a monthly basis
  • Analysis of aged debt report - responsible for distributing workload
  • Working with in-house lawyer to escalate overdue debt/assist with litigation proceedings when appropriate
  • Work closely with budget holders to ensure their debt portfolio is being managed effectively
  • Work with the sales director to ensure problematic accounts are managed accordingly
  • Present debt analysis to stakeholders
  • Ad hoc project work - systems upgrades etc
  • Maintain financial controls
