Audit Manager Permanent Based in Brighton (with parking options) Hybrid working, 3 days a week in the office£55,000 - £65,000 plus further benefits and progression to Director Level and possible share options

Tony Alan Recruitment is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join busy and established team to work for a private practice in Brighton area on a permanent contract.

You will be working on a diverse portfolio of clients consisting of differing sizes and within a range of various industries. You will want to work as part of a team, but also be able to work independently, be proactive and a confident communicator with a proven track record of working to deadlines. This is a client facing role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the clients, plan and carry out the audit
  • Review the work of the audit team
  • Assist with recruitment within the audit team
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients, ensuring that matters are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Management, training and mentoring of junior staff
  • Working closely with the Director and Senior Management Team to assist with day-to-day operations;
  • Prepare formal correspondence to various parties (Clients, HMRC, Banks, Companies House etc.)
  • Remain informed about technical and regulatory accounting changes
  • Incorporating changes and updates into the firm’s compliance and reporting procedures
  • Ad hoc special assignment work as required

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years Practice experience, with 2 years being post qualification
  • Sound understanding of UK tax regimes and reporting procedures
  • Logical, analytical and with a strong attention to detail
  • A strong commercial focus, with a keen eye for business development opportunities
