** PERMANENT RESPIRATORY TECHNICIAN POSITION IN BRIGHTON **

Trident Healthacre are currently seeking Respiratory Technicians for a private client in Brighton with a state of the art health centre.

  • Position: Respiratory Technician
  • Location: Community Spirometry service, Brighton Diagnostic Treatment Centre
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
  • Salary: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
  • Hours: 25 - 37.5 per week
  • Benefits: Company pension, Cycle to work scheme, Private medical insurance
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of quality-assured respiratory tests, including spirometry, inhaler use, and asthma testing.
  • Administer bronchodilators and plan diagnostic assessments according to national guidelines.
  • Obtain brief medical histories and ensure safe practice.
  • Input test results accurately and prepare electronic reports.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, reporting any issues.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues via email, letter, and telephone.
  • Perform simple repairs on spirometry equipment as needed.

Person Specification

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer skills.
  • Good IT skills.

Qualifications & Training

  • Essential: GCSEs (grades A-C) in Maths and English, Diploma or approved respiratory qualification, relevant healthcare training certificates (e.g., ARTP).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Licence/Certification: Respiratory Qualification required.
