They are looking for a dedicated and proactive caretaker to join their team and ensure the school premises are maintained to the highest standard.Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety, security, and cleanliness of the school premises.
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs across the site.
- Manage and monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
- Assist with setting up facilities for school events and activities.
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections, including fire safety checks.
- Oversee and liaise with external contractors to ensure work is completed to standard.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, such as equipment breakdowns or leaks.
- Support the upkeep of outdoor areas, including gardening and grounds maintenance.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
- Strong DIY skills and the ability to perform minor repairs.
- A basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undertake the necessary checks.
