They are seeking a dedicated and proactive caretaker to join their friendly team and help maintain the school premises to the highest standard.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of the school premises.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across the site.
- Monitor and manage the heating, lighting and alarm systems.
- Assist with setting up facilities for school events and activities.
- Conduct regular health and safety checks, including fire safety.
- Oversee external contractors and ensure all work meets required standards.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and unexpected issues, such as leaks or equipment breakdowns.
- Support in maintaining an inviting and orderly outdoor environment (gardening and grounds maintenance as required)
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within a school or educational environment.
- Good DIY skills and the ability to carry out minor repairs.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A flexible approach to work and willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo checks.
