They are seeking a dedicated and proactive caretaker to join their friendly team and help maintain the school premises to the highest standard.Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of the school premises.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across the site.
  • Monitor and manage the heating, lighting and alarm systems.
  • Assist with setting up facilities for school events and activities.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks, including fire safety.
  • Oversee external contractors and ensure all work meets required standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and unexpected issues, such as leaks or equipment breakdowns.
  • Support in maintaining an inviting and orderly outdoor environment (gardening and grounds maintenance as required)

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a school or educational environment.
  • Good DIY skills and the ability to carry out minor repairs.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • A flexible approach to work and willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo checks.
