Project Engineer/ Project Manager
COMPANY
- The company is an automotive manufacturing engineer with strong sales on every continent. They have new ranges coming on stream and existing products are selling well.
- Customers can request certain changes to the range, some exterior and many interior. These projects can range from very small projects lasting weeks, to projects lasting well over 12 months, with on vehicle sometimes having many ongoing at one time.
ROLE
- Take on an existing project load and new projects as they come on stream
- Manage, prioritise and execute multiple projects, ensuring deadlines miles stones are met
- Ensure project adherence to the company's PM policies at all times (prince2 based)
- Understand and mitigate roadblocks whilst managing the risks
- Making sure all the inputs from the various engineering participants and correctly embedded on the project
- Manage the production of the required deliverables
- Conduct reviews with all parties (gateway)
- Ensure all project communications up and down are executed correctly
- Manage project administration effectively
PERSON
- Project management whether as a project engineer or project manager, with extensive PM skills is essential
- Automotive or vehicle manufacture is important, ideally interiors such as plastics, electronics/electrics, wood, composites or similar
- Ideally prince 2
- You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of project management
- Cradle to grave experience as all these projects are
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate people
