An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join an established building consultancy based in Brighton and specialising in the leisure and healthcare sectors. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality projects across the UK, securing repeat business but ensuring a great service and a finished product often exceeding their clients expectations.

They are looking for a motivated Project Quantity Surveyor with a keen eye for detail to join their team. The Project Quantity Surveyor will take on employers agent duties, working closely with stakeholders and the clients' teams to manage projects from feasibility through to final accounts. This is an office based position and will require travel to sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the employer's agent for a range of projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders throughout all project phases.
  • Oversee project feasibility studies, budget estimates, and cost planning.
  • Prepare tender documents and manage the tendering process.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare and submit interim and final accounts, managing cost reporting effectively.
  • Provide professional advice on contract matters and assist in resolving disputes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the leisure and healthcare sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the construction process and project lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
