Senior Product & Purchasing ManagerA fantastic opportunity for a Senior Product & Purchasing Manager to join this specialist tour operator focused on educational school trips worldwide. They are passionate about creating enriching experiences for students and are looking for a dynamic individual to lead a small team in creating and developing new innovative product to drive future growth.
Senior Product & Purchasing Manager - Role & Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the product and purchasing team
- Developing and implementing strategies to maximise commercial performance
- Negotiate competitive rates and commercial terms with suppliers for specific geographic regions
- Oversee health and safety audits, ensuring adherence to School Travel Forum guidelines
- Collaborate with internal departments (sales, commercial, operations, etc.)
- Travel to destinations for product development and contracting purposes
Senior Product & Purchasing Manager Skills Required:
- Significant experience at a manager level in a similar role within school or group travel
- Strong destination knowledge in Europe and/or the USA
- Proven management skills with experience leading a team
- Creative, innovative, motivated, and possess a can-do attitude
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Fluency in a European language preferred - French / Spanish / Italian
- Ability to travel as required - circa 4 to 6 overseas trips per annum
- A clean driving license
