Robert Half have partnered with an industry leading, PE backed business based in Central Bristol to recruit an interim financial accountant to start immediately.

This role has been created to cover maternity leave in the business.

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 9-12 months (FTC)

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum

Hybrid working: 3 days on site and 2 remote.

You will report into the financial controls manager and be responsible for:

  • Prepare monthly consolidation adjustments
  • Eliminate intercompany transactions and balances
  • Review key financial items to identify and analyse variances and anomalies
  • Provide supporting analysis for major balances and reconciliations
  • Consolidate the re-forecasted Profit & Loss statement and compare with the annual internal Business Plan
  • Communicate the impact on the group's cash balance
  • Highlight potential need for future funding
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly debt covenant reports
  • Coordinate and provide necessary information
  • Liaise with external stakeholders
  • Review performance of debt-related collateral properties and provide narrative explanations against submitted Lender Business Plans
  • Oversee and prepare supporting documentation for funding requests from private equity shareholders
  • Support improvements in intercompany processes: Rationalise, document, and align processes
  • Develop detailed analysis and presentations for internal and external board meetings, and for urgent business requests

Qualifications/Experience required for this position:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, CA, CIMA or ACCA.
  • Recent and relevant experience in a technical accounting role.
  • Exposure within a group finance setting across multiple jurisdictions.
