Role: Financial Analysts

Location: Remote Working

Duration: 3 months minimum, start date will be 6th January with interviews held next week

Money on offer: Salary - 54,439 pa / Day rate - 209.42 PAYE (270.30 umbrella PAYE) / Hourly rate - 28.30 PAYE (37.20 Umbrella PAYE)

Experienced Financial Analysts sought for a higher education organisation based in the South of England and/or London, on an interim basis for a period of minimum 3 months.

You will be an expert in financial analysis and financial data interrogation, preferably with an audit background.

The Financial Analysts will be responsible for:

  • The role is based in the Regulation directorate
  • The purpose of the role is to undertake financial assessments on the basis set out in HERA's regulatory framework
  • Producing reliable assessments of the providers' financial health and continually improving the system that delivers services to providers
  • The role requires engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that there is a consistent understanding of the organisations approach to financial assessment and regulation.

The ideal candidate for Financial Analyst the role should have:

  • an accountancy qualification from ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, ICAS, CAI or CIPFA
  • experience and expertise in financial analysis commensurate with an individual's qualification status
  • ability to understand, interpret and identify risks in financial performance in diverse types of organisations
  • ability to reach and convey reliable and challenge-proof judgements to non-specialists on the basis of complex and imperfect information
  • ability to manage own workload, coping with changing priorities in a flexible and proactive way
  • ability to reach reliable professional judgements on the basis of complex financial evidence and to get these 'right first time'
  • ability to communicate complex financial issues effectively, orally and in writing
  • personal resilience
  • ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a complex environment to deliver the team's functions
