KJA are delighted to be working on an exclusive mandate for a 12-14 month Fixed Term Contract for a Financial Controller for this owner managed business with ambitious growth plans in North Bristol.

With a passion for product and service development this is an exciting time to join and you will be working within a dedicated and dynamic customer focused team. You will report into a highly commercial FD with extensive experience of working with growing companies that have changing needs, as well as a strong track record of helping team members develop their careers.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This newly created role reflects the changing requirements of a fast growing and dynamic international business. It will offer opportunities to work closely with the Exec team and senior business managers, establishing the finance team as a business partner.

  • Responsibility for day-to-day management of the finance team and accounting operations.
  • Leading and supporting strategic finance initiatives initiated by the Board and Finance Director.
  • Responsibility, alongside the Finance Manager, for the annual financial statements and audit process.
  • Managing the annual budget and forecasting process.
  • Supporting and developing the capabilities of the finance team, including technical training and career development opportunities.
  • Development and enhancement of the monthly Board reporting (including management accounts and finance report).
  • Expanding and developing the company’s use of ERP systems to improve collation and sharing of core management information.
  • Supporting new system implementations.
  • Development and enhancement of budget control, working alongside key budget holders in the senior management team.
  • Establishing and developing (including documentation and monitoring with the team) adequate processes and controls across the finance function.
  • Responsibility for management and implementation of local and international tax advice taken from external advisers, alongside the Finance Director.
  • Working on ad hoc projects.
