IR35 compliance project role - requires previous experience in an IR35 specific role with a good understanding of IR35 processes, legislation & compliance: You will assist the Tax Accountant in managing IR35 compliance for the whole business. You will help create and maintain the IR35 database. You will assist the team by taking an active part in communication with National Business Units and Districts and build collaborative and supportive relationships with internal stakeholders such as contract managers and external stakeholders such as agencies. You will provide regular reports to management on IR35 compliance, identify actions and set timelines and escalate issues.IR35 Database (Excel based):
- Create the IR35 database to capture all suppliers who have been identified as a resource engaging via their PSC (Personal Service Company).
- Ensure all key documents such as the SDS and contract have been received and uploaded onto SharePoint in the appropriate folders by District/Business Unit.
- Ensure that all suppliers engaging via their PSC have had an assessment using CEST along with a Status Determination Statement (SDS).
- Ensure all SDS's are complete with all relevant information and ensure the reasons given are consistent with CEST.
- Ensure any appeals received from in-scope workers are dealt with in a timely manner and all documents are saved in SharePoint.
- Assist Contract Managers when they have an 'Undetermined' assessment when using CEST.
- Setting up a process of regular status reporting to management.
- Assist the Tax Accountant with training of Contract Managers when required.
- Ensure the organisation's Intranet (Roots) is up-to-date with the current legislation.
- Ensure the IR35 guidance document is up-to-date with current legislation and find ways of ensuring maximum effectiveness.
Essential Professional and Technical experience
- Experience of the IR35 compliance legislation and processes.
- A reasonable level of skill in using Microsoft Excel and competence with other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with financial systems.
- Desirable Professional and Technical experience
