Your new companyThe Hays senior finance team are currently working on a newly created & dynamic project accounting role for a local government organisation. Our client is looking for support on a budget centralisation & a staffing restructuring exercise.

  • Initially, a 6-month interim contract role
  • To start as soon as possible (with a 1 stage interview process)
  • It is essential you have worked within local government organisations previously & have a good understanding of how they work, so you can hit the ground running & make an instant impact.
  • Flexible hybrid working policy available
  • Competitive daily rate available for the assignment (experience & qualification dependent)

Some key outputs for the assignment would be:

  • Centralisation of property budgets
  • Set up recharging mechanisms where required for specific trading accounts or services funded by ring-fenced grant.
  • Providing financial support to the service's staffing restructure.
  • Calculating, understanding and articulating all financial implications resulting from the change project.

It's difficult to predict how quickly this piece of work will take to complete, but they do also have some other similar cross-cutting projects occurring in the organisation that require financial support which could bolt onto the assignment & this could also lead to an extension after the initial 6-month period. If you are available & think you would be a good fit, please send Charles Maidment from the Hays senior finance team your CV to review.
