Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting for an Interim Assistant Accountant to join a client based in South Bristol + Free parking + Hybrid working

This role is a short term assignment to assist the team with the current workload.

Duration: 4 weeks

Contract: Temporary assignment

Location: South Bristol

Start date: ASAP ideally

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE (Hourly rate equivalent)

You'll be helping with:

  • Monitoring daily transactions and resolving any queries
  • Assisting with management accounts - accruals, prepayments, journals
  • Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct
  • Assisting in maintaining the purchase and sales ledger
  • Recording and filing cash transactions
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt.
  • Processing expenses
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Assisting with ad hoc duties to support the team

Skills/experience needed:

  • Previous experience in assisting with month end tasks
  • Comfortable working in a small team environment
  • Studied/studying AAT - preference but not essential
  • Team player
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
