Element Recruitment are working with a client in Aztec West, who are in need of a Accounts Assistant working 3 days per week (flexible as to what days these look like). You'll join a lovely company to support the team on a temporary basis initially for 2 months, with the possiblity for extension.

  • Paying £13.00 - £15.00 per hour
  • Working 3 days per week
  • Parking on site

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Invoice processing
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
  • Update and maintain the general ledger
  • Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
  • Recording of debits and credits
  • Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
  • Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
  • Monitor any variances from the projected budget
  • Processing expenses

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

  • Competent knowledge of XERO
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Understanding accounting best practices
  • Data entry skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Produce work with a high level of accuracy
  • Professionalism and organization skills
  • Associate degree or at least one year of experience
