A Bristol based provider of transport services with plans for capital investments exceeding £400m+ has an opening for a Senior Asset Manager to join their engineering team.

The Senior Asset Manager will develop and deliver an asset management structured approach within the organisation and establish asset management best practices eventually leading to ISO 55001 accreditation.

This role would suit an experienced Asset Manager, who has demonstrable experience in the implementation of ISO5501 within a safety regulated business.

The successful Senior Asset Manager will have the following responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an Asset Management delivery roadmap.
  • Undertake the Maturity Assessment charting the transformation to ISO55001 accreditation.
  • Key asset performance monitoring and auditing.
  • Development of a Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), instigating whole life cost models, risk management and Asset Maturity Plans throughout the wider business.
  • Implementation of a new CMMS system to provide short term enhancements in asset performance data and evaluate longer term EMS systems for implementation across the business.
It is essential for the successful Senior Asset Manager to have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience with the implementation of ISO5501 within a safety regulated business.
  • Suitable Asset Management qualification or experience with membership of the Institute of Asset Management at Member (MIAM) or Fellow (FIAM).
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of ISO55001 standards.
  • Substantial IT skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Project / Primavera P6.
In addition to the above skills and experience, it would be highly desirable for the Seniot Asset Manager to have arecognised engineering/project management qualification, a QMS Auditing qualification or experience working in the transport sector.
