The Job:
On behalf of our client we are seeking an Assistant Team Leader. In this role your responsibility will be to manage and supervise a small team of Legal Administrators and support the Operations Manager in their team in Central Bristol. This is a junior management position overseeing a small team of Legal Administrators and ensuring effective collaboration, task performance, and professional development.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
- Line management of up to 10 Legal Administrators including performance management, career development, discipline and welfare support with HR.
- Actively manage work levels, quality and resources
- Monitor and supervise the quality and completion of tasks
- Actively monitor Section MI, identify patterns/trends
- Holding regular team meetings ensuring that the team are kept updated
- Support the Operations manager to develop talent within the team by identifying individual potential.
- Supporting team members in achieving agreed objectives through delegation, coaching, mentoring and training.
- Support the Operations Manager with the training and induction of new starters
- Take ownership of knowledge management and query log and escalate any queries that require further review.
The Person:
For this role, our client is looking for someone who experience managing tasks in a service delivery industry.
In addition to this they are seeking the following skills and experience:
- Good IT skills
- Supervisory experience
- Good communication skills
- Legal experience preferred
- The ability to understand and apply different task processes.
- Experience with Legal or banking case management systems (not essential)
- Experience working in a regulated environment where formal programme governance and controls are required.
