School Business Manager (Consultancy Basis)

We are supporting a Bristol-based school in their search for an experienced School Business Manager on a consultancy basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead key operational areas within the school, ensuring smooth and effective management across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance Oversight: Lead the finance team, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely management accounts, and oversight of audits and reporting requirements.
  • HR & Payroll Management: Line manage the HR function, ensuring effective payroll arrangements and personnel management.
  • IT & Estates: Oversee the IT department and Estates Officer, ensuring technology and facilities run efficiently.
  • Compliance: Ensure data protection responsibilities are met and health & safety practices are maintained.
  • Local Authority Liaison: Manage relationships with the local authority regarding school reporting and engagement.
  • Census & Reporting: Ensure the accuracy of census information and compliance with statutory requirements.
