A leading manufacturer in the automotive industry. Building a great reputation through the quality of their products and growing across the UK, this company is looking to expand their team.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering/Maintenance Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities and maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively delegate tasks to a team of Engineers to minimize production disruption.
  • Ensure timely completion of all Pre-Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Maintain buildings, plant, and facilities to ensure they are fit for purpose, providing proactive support and solutions as needed.
  • Manage maintenance purchasing requirements, including capital forecasts.
  • Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
  • Oversee new projects from design to full installation and handover.
  • Collaborate with the management team to drive operational improvements and enhance product quality and production output.
  • Liaise with other departments, customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Possession of a full driving license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management or engineering roles.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

 

Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year

Full-time position - 39 hours per week Monday-Friday.

•             Holidays 20 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing after 1 years’ service.

•             Bonus – 1 full financial year gets 5% of annual salary

•             Long service award 1 Year 1%, 2 Year 2%... Up to 5% for 5 Years - Additional £50 a year after

•             Pension Gov 3% company 5% personal
