Workday Platform Lead (12 month FTC)

Our client ,one of the UK’s leading Audit, Accountancy Tax and Advisory businesses, has an exciting opportunity for a Workday Platform Lead to join their team!

The role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to manage the newly implemented Human Capital Management (HCM) Workday platform covering a wide range of HR processes, including Absence, Talent, Learning, Recruitment and wider reporting and analysis.
  • Managing the HCM Roadmap, driving and overseeing the development and execution of the HCM roadmap to ensure strategic alignment with business needs.
  • Managing incoming 'Workday Matters’ cases, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders such as Chief Operating Officer and Partner and Chief People Officer and Partner to prioritise change requests, implement solutions, and manage the deferred list.
  • Making process and configuration adjustments to resolve HCM issues as they arise.
  • HCM Cyclical Checklist, ensuring completion of key monthly and annual Workday tasks, keeping the HCM system optimised for business needs.
  • Process & Configuration Management, overseeing HCM configuration and process changes to maintain seamless system operation, working closely with stakeholders to ensure Workday meets the needs of the People Team.
  • Working with the FINS, PSA, and Help Workstream Leads on any cross-functional matters, including configuration, process changes, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinating with the Workday Data Analytics Lead on report requests and security configurations.
  • Integration Management, collaborating with the Senior Developer, Solution Architect, and key stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of Workday HCM integrations (e.g., HireRight, Dayshape, HubSpot).
  • Workday User Support, being available to upskill and assist the People Team, resolving any issues they face with Workday.
  • HCM Release Management, leading the bi-annual release checks and testing for March and September, ensuring system updates are properly tested and implemented.
  • Performance Management Cycle Coordination, helping manage the Workday actions related to performance management, such as setting expectations, initiating reviews, and ensuring the process runs smoothly.
  • Policy Document Reviews, working with the Help Workstream Lead to coordinate the distribution and review of key documents, such as IT & Communications Policy and Safeguarding Policy.

Key skills/ experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and experience managing Workday configurations and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in triaging and resolving system issues.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage system integrations and processes.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
