Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person

Our well-established nursery in Portishead is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
  • Lead and inspire the nursery team to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted and EYFS regulations.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Assist with staff training, development, and performance management.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping and health & safety policies.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a nursery setting.
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, proactive, and professional approach.
  • A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
