Senior Building Control Surveyor

Sellick Partnership Ltd are assisting a Local Authority with the recruitment of a Senior Building Control Surveyor to work within their Building Services and Maintenance team on a permanent basis

Daily duties of the Senior Building Control Surveyor involve:

  • Initiate & lead the development team approach for major projects to ensure that building control matters at the request of the building safety Regulator as part of the multi-disciplinary team on High Risk Buildings
  • Participate in, and where applicable lead, in corporate, partnership & stakeholder groups to achieve performance plan outcomes on time & within budget constraints
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the building regulations, structural engineering, fire engineering, or other relevant specialism
  • Ensure that Building Control revenues are maximised by maintaining our market share, through efficient invoicing and the determination of applications within prescribed time periods
  • Explore, devise & present technical justification to management team, for specific project proposals

Essential requirements of the Senior Building Control Surveyor:

  • Relevant degree in Building Surveying/Construction or equivalent
  • Registered Class 2 Building Inspector (minimum)
  • Previous experience working within Social Housing (Desired)
