Building Performance Consultant

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading sustainability consultancy who have designed and delivered on a range of construction projects. They are on the lookout for an experienced Building Performance Consultant to join their energy team in their office in Bristol.

Key responsibilities for a Building Performance Consultant include:

  • Use IES-VE software to optimise the building performance of projects
  • Carry out Overheating assessments in accordance with CIBSE TM59
  • Mentor the more junior energy consultants and help develop their proficiency with IES
  • Begin to lead and successfully deliver numerous building physics related projects
  • Produce general sustainability strategies and reports for clients in a timely manner

The ideal Building Performance Consultant will have:

  • Relevant experience within an energy or sustainability role within the construction industry
  • Educational background within a sustainability, architectural, or engineering discipline
  • Proficiency with IES-VE software when carrying out energy modelling
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations and legislations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
