Head of Communications and Engagement - contract
Bristol 3 days week, 2 to be office based/1 remote
Day rate £350-400 per day
OR FTC for 6 months, £100k pro rata (equates to circa £60k for the 3 days)

The role can be offered on day rate (preferably) or on an FTC for 6 months, for three days a week - two days to be worked in the Bristol office, one remote.
Based on the executive leadership team, the Head of Communications and Engagement will work closely with other senior leaders to develop, implement and lead the delivery of internal and external communications strategies.
What you’ll need:
- Preferably previous healthcare communications experience, including internal and external comms.
- Experience of being part of a senior leadership team, ideally within a complex or high-profile organisation
- NHS experience would be a huge benefit, particularly primary care
- Digital communications including social media, website management and content creation.
- Ability to translate technical content for different audiences
- Experience of working in complex systems
- Crisis management and reputation management
- Event management and corporate affairs

- Develop and guard the brand and reputation
- Lead development and delivery of internal and external communications strategies
- Provide strategic and operational communications support
- Plan, organise and run events for members and key stakeholders to drive understanding and engagement
- Lead the communications team, providing an effective and high-quality communications and support a team of four.
