DK Recruitment is looking for an experienced CNC lathes operator/setters/programmers for our client in Bristol. Our client is a leading manufacturer of high speed packaging machines!
Our client has a busy office in Bristol looking for CNC lathes operators.
The client is looking for some manual experience with turners and millers as these are the main manual machines used.
Key responsibilitiess:
- Install software programs into machines via various methods including keying from a drawing and downloading from databases, also undertake setting and operating as required
- Select appropriate materials for each job as described in the drawings
- Run the machine to produce required components, working to drawings and specifications.
- Check and verify accuracy of components once manufactured.
- Self inspect components and report any manufacturing errors to line manager so corrective action can be agreed
Background/Experience:
- CNC programming experience - Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak (essential)
- 3-5years experience with CNC lathes would be a big advantage.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of materials
- Knowledge of feeds and speeds
