As a CNC Turning Programmer/Setter you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of components by Programming setting and operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines both conventional along with Multi-Spindle Multi-Turret machines, your expertise in programming, machine setup, and precision machining will ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet strict industry standards and specifications. You will work closely with engineers and other manufacturing personnel to optimize production processes and achieve efficient and accurate machining operations.
Requirements:
Machine Setup and Programming:
- Fully programme CNC machines online to produce parts conforming parts.
Including twin spindle, multi-axis turning centres using Fanuc controls preferably using Miyano's - Able to fully set CNC machines, including installing workpieces, fixtures, and cutting tools and datum of all tools and work shifts.
- Ability to select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for the machining process.
- Understanding of machine parameters, speeds, feeds, and optimization techniques for efficient production.
CNC Machining Skills:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in operating CNC machines, specifically Fanuc Controls.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent understanding of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and the ability to modify programs as needed.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Capability to identify and resolve common CNC machine issues, such as tooling problems or programming errors.
- Proficiency in conducting routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
Quality Assurance:
- Attention to detail and ability to perform in-process inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to verify part dimensions and surface finishes.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Knowledge of machine guarding, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Compliance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant industry regulations.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Monitoring of OEE data including FourJaw
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and engineers.
- Ability to document and maintain accurate production records, including setup sheets, tool lists & kits.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, machining techniques, and process improvements.

6am-2pm Monday -Thursday & 6-11am Friday
2pm-10pm Monday - Thursday & 11am - 4pm Friday
