Project Manager - Commercial Property Maintenance

Description and Requirements:

Our Building Services division provides complete Facilities Management across the UK, including mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering, and grounds maintenance.

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Commercial Property Maintenance team in Bristol. The role involves managing and delivering life cycle and capital works projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, time, and budget targets are met. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders as part of an integrated team, adhering to compliance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Life Cycle and Capital Project work, including design management, temporary works, estimating, ordering materials, resource planning, and implementation.
  • Work with the Contract and Commercial team to ensure timely completion of quotations.
  • Develop and pre-plan works with stakeholders, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery.
  • Ensure defect-free built works and manage any remedial works required.
  • Provide monthly reports to senior management and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Liaise with Projects QS to prepare tender packages and evaluate returns.
  • Manage project information to meet statutory and contractual operations, including H&S files and AutoCAD drawings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum HNC (Building/Mechanical/Electrical) or relevant Degree with 5 years’ experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects.
  • H&S qualification (e.g., IOSH H&S Managing Safely or SMSTS certificate).
  • CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Professional qualification in building-related discipline or Project Management.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Experience working to British Standards and current regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio, MIS systems, Asset Data Base systems, and AutoCAD.
  • Proven leadership and management of diverse supply chain contractors.
  • Experience in change management and fostering stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and internal.
  • Experience delivering multiple complex projects up to £2.0M.
