DK recruitment is looking for a strong manual machinist in Bristol for our new client.
Our client is looking for someone with manual turning experience, some exposure to CNC would be a big advantage.
Primary Responsibilities/Activities:
- Set up and operate conventional machine tools (centre lathe, capstan lathe, manual mill, pillar drill, etc)
- Perform shop calculations to determine optimum feeds and speeds
- Adhere to all quality and H&S standards (Our client is very strict on H&S)
Background/Experience:
- Successfully completed apprenticeship (Advantage)
- CNC programming experience - Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak (advantage)
- Experience of working with a wide variety of materials (essential)
- Understanding of manufacturing protocols
- Knowledge of feeds and speeds
