With a reputation for excellence and a strong portfolio of successful projects, we are expanding our team and looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join us. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage multiple new build and refurbishment projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Prepare and review contract documentation, including subcontracts, tender documents, and project proposals.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Resolve any contractual disputes or issues that arise, in collaboration with senior management.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and attend client meetings to provide updates on project status.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the construction industry, with a focus on new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, processes, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A solid understanding of budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management or related field (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with NEC3, JCT, or similar contract types.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental regulations in construction.
  • Health and safety certification (e.g., SMSTS).
