Main Duties:
o Build and nurture relationships with internal and external client contacts, third parties, and stakeholders to ensure timely payment of invoices.
o Oversee and implement the firm's credit control processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency and the successful adoption of any new systems or practices.
o Provide training on credit control processes to fee earners and other colleagues outside the credit team, particularly focusing on practices in the insurance market.
o Train and develop new and existing credit controllers, ensuring consistency in performance and standards across the team.
o Create and distribute accounts receivable reports to stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
o Manage recovery actions or escalate cases as required to ensure debts are collected promptly.
o Monitor team performance, ensuring that individual and collective workloads are managed effectively to maintain high standards of service.
Skills Required:
o Minimum 10 years' experience in legal credit control within the insurance sector, with a deep understanding of ECF and other relevant industry portals.
o Strong understanding of client relationship management, with the ability to adapt strategies to achieve strong results.
o Previous experience working with Aderant or similar practice management systems is advantageous.
o Proven ability to manage clients, resources, budgets, and projects confidently and commercially.
o Ability to utilise data to develop commercial solutions and make informed decisions.
o A collaborative leader who fosters development and consistency within the team, guiding colleagues to achieve their highest potential.
o Demonstrates client-focused approaches and has the ability to influence and enhance client experiences.
