Credit Control Supervisor

Core3 are delighted to partner with a marketing leading construction company to recruit a Credit Control Supervisor in Central Bristol £35,000 hybrid working.

How you'll make an impact

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, your responsibilities will include maximising cash collections through the effective application of the company's credit policy. In addition to investigating and resolving any queries and discrepancies within agreed timescales.

Working in a fast paced environment, the Credit Control Supervisor will manage a team on 10 Key Account Credit Controllers. This is high volume collections which requires tenacious and confident customer service skills. You will manage your own allocated ledger and also that of your team, working alongside the credit control team to achieve reduced debtor days, prevent legal escalations and resolve queries quickly and effectively.

  • Ensure customers adhere to their payment terms through effective management of team members.
  • Resolve queries in a timely manner
  • Overseeing effectiveness of the team in terms of debtor days
  • Develop customer relationships to improve the service delivered by the credit control team.
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers in addition to other agencies
  • Working with the credit control team to pro-actively ensure that overdue debt, due debt and unallocated cash are dealt with in a timely manner in addition to ensuring queries are resolved
  • Identify and recruit employees with the right potential following the company's laid down recruitment procedure
  • Performance and Development reviews carried out on a regular basis using the company's performance and development process.
  • To ensure individuals are trained and developed effectively to be able to carry out their roles
  • Ensure overdue accounts are escalated to the legal team in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate and timely fiscal information to the Finance team on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for carrying out the Month and Year End processing
  • Be accountable and take ownership for your allocated ledger and be pro-active in managing the collection and resolution of the debt and individual queries
  • Improving percentage of debts paid to terms
  • Reduction of aged debt profile
  • Process customer accounts in line with G42 workflow system and credit policy
  • Escalation of accounts in line with agreed collection paths
  • Reduction of debt over ninety days overdue
  • Take ownership of escalating aged queries
  • Allocation of any unallocated cash
  • Processing credit card payments
