What you'll be doing
You'll be joining an established data department working with the Head of Data, the Data Architect, the Data Visualisation Lead and Data Governance Manager, as well as the wider IT & Infrastructure team.
- You willbe responsible for maintaining ongoing projects and overseeing a small data engineering team, ensuring continuity and stability.
- A key responsibility will include planning and executing an ETL migration to Airflow, in collaboration with the data architect and architecture team.
- The contractor will play a supportive role in new proof of concept and pilot projects, requiring hands-on involvement and oversight.
- Solid experience as a Senior/Lead Data Engineer
- Some team leading/development/mentoring experience
- Experience working with the AWS ecosystem
- Experience running migrations
- Enterprise level business exposure
- Airflowexperience
- Duration: Approximately 12 weeks, starting around the 21st of August.
- Day Rate: £475 - £500
- Office Requirement: 2 days per week in the office to collaborate with the team and stakeholders.
- Seniority: Looking for a 'safe pair of hands'someone experienced who can oversee the team and projects without requiring extensive guidance.
- Interview Process: A single-stage, one-hour interview to assess fit and expertise.
