Project Controls Lead - Infrastructure Construction Consultancy
Location: Bristol
Salary: Competitive + excellent benefits

I'm working with a well-established, independently owned construction consultancy that is looking to appoint a Project Controls Lead to join their team in Bristol. Known for delivering some of the region's most complex and high-profile infrastructure projects, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step up or take on a fresh challenge in a role that offers real influence and long-term progression.

This consultancy has built a strong reputation in the infrastructure space, working with a mix of public and private sector clients across transport, utilities, and major civils. The team is collaborative, technically strong, and places real value on quality and long-term client relationships - which is why they're trusted with repeat business on some of the UK's most interesting schemes.

About the Role:
As Project Controls Lead, you'll take ownership of the project controls function across key infrastructure commissions. You'll be working closely with project managers, cost managers, planners, and clients to bring clarity and control across time, cost, risk, and reporting. It's a hands-on role with autonomy, where you'll be trusted to bring best practice and drive performance across programmes.

What They're Looking For:

  • A strong background in project controls within a consultancy or client-side environment.
  • Experience across large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g. transport, utilities, energy, civils).
  • Solid understanding of planning, cost, risk, and change control principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • The ability to manage stakeholders and lead by example.

This is a great move for someone who's either ready to take the step into a leadership role or is already operating at this level but looking for more freedom, better projects, or a change in pace and culture.
If you're based in the South West (or looking to relocate), and want to join a business that's growing steadily, treats people like professionals, and delivers work that genuinely adds value - this could be the one.
