SEND Teaching Assistant Role within Central Bristol schools.

Team Educate are recruiting for passionate SEND teaching assistants who specialise in working with children within the educational setting.

As a SEND teaching assistant, you will be working with pupils on a 1-1 basis or within small groups to support their learning, encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour. The SEND teaching assistant we are looking for will be confident working with KS3 & KS4 pupils, in a mainstream secondary school environment.

Desirable Skills:

· Excellent communication skills

· Empathetic and nurturing characteristics

· High expectations of the children in their care

Responsibilities:

· Providing 1:1 support

· Delivering group activities from the teachers planning

· Preparing and setting up resources

· Using your own initiative

· Developing literacy, numeracy and communication skills in children

Requirements:

· Have an enhanced Child Workforce DBS (That is on the update service or be willing to have a new one processed)

· References that can be contacted to ensure the last 2 years of employment are covered.

· Right to Work documentation.
