Your new schoolThis South Gloucestershire primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team with an immediate start. The role is to support their SEND team within KS2 on a full-time basis from Monday-Friday. In this Teaching Assistant job, you will be working closely with the SENCo and class teacher following their targets and plans. You will be working across full days during the week 8.30-3.30.

Your new roleA Teaching Assistant job is available to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis with additional needs. The pupil has recently been awarded an EHCP and requires support throughout the school day within the classroom. They are currently working at a lower age level across the curriculum.The pupil has emotional attachment issues and therefore requires support for their emotional needs, including encouragement and nurturing.

What you'll need to succeed

  • SEND experience for this 1:1 support role
  • You will have specific school-based experience in a Teaching Assistant job.
  • Two previous long-term placement references completed
