Our client, an independent building consultancy, offering best-in-class services to their clients within the property industry, are looking for a Team Assistant for their offices in Bristol.

As a support role, the position is office based, with the understanding of the need to work remotely occasionally and flexibility as and when. From time to time there will be the need to travel to other offices especially during the induction.

The role is providing administration and support for the Bristol team; experience within the professional building, construction or surveying sector would be ideal but there is flexibility on this.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Writing:Creation, preparation and quality assurance of documents produced to a high standard: Survey reports, bids, tender documents, letters, Excel documents with formulae, presentations etc
  • Dictation:Transcription of digital dictation or notes into the various formats required
  • Calendar Management:Managing calendars including arranging meetings, appointments and inspections as required by the Surveyor, Client or Senior Team.
  • Office Support:Answering calls, arranging conference calls (Teams), scanning, printing, placing orders, booking cherry pickers, travel, hotels, events and general office functions such as managing stationery and consumables.

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Experience within administration / PA / secretarial roles of a building consultancy, property industry or similar.
  • Ability to check grammar and documents for proofreading.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a willingness to get stuck in and be a great team player
  • Strong, confident, great communication skills and the ability to present well in person, by phone and email.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience [Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook]. Microsoft Project experience desirable but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn 'on the job’ and have a 'can do’ attitude.
