Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Hinkley Point C siteRate: Circa £64 per hourContract Type: Full-time, 37 hours per weekSecurity Clearance: BPSS
Role Overview:Hinkley Point C, the UK's first new-build nuclear power station in a generation, is a critical project in achieving the UK's Net Zero targets. This project requires dedicated individuals to contribute to the success and uphold the highest safety and quality standards. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will directly manage assigned projects, ensuring they run efficiently and profitably while maintaining compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Provide engineering and management support for all project operations, planning, and coordination. Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
- Customer Service: Maintain strong customer relations and support the Senior Project Manager in business development.
- Operational Procedures: Supervise the work of engineers and subcontractors, ensure material procurement aligns with project schedules, and monitor operational efficiency.
- Health & Safety: Uphold high standards of health and safety across all site activities, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Commercial: Monitor project performance against financial targets, prepare reports, and manage sub-contracts and material procurement.
- Business Development: Assist in the development of new customer relationships to maintain a steady project workload.
Working Pattern and Location:
- First 6-9 months: Bristol
- Late 2025/Early 2026 onward: Hinkley Point C Construction Site, Bridgwater, Somerset
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven track record in large-scale projects, particularly in regulated sectors like nuclear or EPC projects.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and competence in electrical engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
