A dynamic events company based in the Southwest is seeking a Head of Summit Operations to lead their EMEA portfolio of high-profile B2B summits.

About the Role:

As the Head of Summit Operations, you will take full ownership of nine EMEA-based summits, overseeing every aspect from strategic planning to on-site execution. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing event strategies to drive successful summits.

  • Managing budgets, venue selection, and vendor negotiations.

  • Recruiting, training, and leading a new operations team, including the hiring of a Summit Operations Manager to support your efforts.

Collaborating with senior leadership, including four Managing Directors and the Global MD, to align event strategies across the business.

Liaising with the US Summit team to exchange best practices and ensure a unified approach to global events. This role involves extensive travel—up to 50%—across EMEA and beyond, providing you with the chance to make a significant impact on a global scale.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record in strategic event management within EMEA.

  • Experience working closely with content and programming teams.

  • Degree-level education.

  • Expertise in sourcing and engaging industry speakers.

  • Ability to execute both virtual and in-person events.

  • Familiarity with the technology sector is highly desirable.

  • Strong team management and leadership skills.
