Description
As part of a newly created Treasury team, the Treasury Analyst will play a crucial role in forecasting key financial metrics, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. This position involves specific responsibilities related to the company's asset-based lending (ABL) facility, focusing on accurate forecasting and drawdown management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. The role requires active collaboration with departments across the organisation, including buying, sales, and finance teams (FP&A, Tax, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable), as well as close interaction with external partners, clients, investors, and auditors.
The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in cash flow modelling and forecasting. A key focus will be to optimise processes and systems, improving both the accuracy and efficiency of treasury operations.
- Cash Flow and ABL Management: Develop and maintain a reliable 13-week cash flow forecast that integrates short-term transactional details with longer-term financial forecasts.
- Reporting and Compliance: Deliver detailed weekly and monthly reports to the ABL provider, process drawdown requests as needed, and ensure compliance with ABL limits and allowances.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the buying team and regularly coordinate with capital expenditure teams to keep cash flow aligned with business needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in forecasting and reporting to support a scalable treasury function.
- Daily Operations: Manage daily cash operations and execute short-term foreign exchange transactions, once trained.
- Documentation and Training: Document essential processes and create training materials to enable coverage during absences.
- Process Control and Audit Support: Establish strong controls over Treasury operations, support audit preparations, and assist in compliance activities.
- Cross-functional Knowledge Building: Develop a deep understanding of my client's sales, purchasing, and financing agreements, while staying informed on key relationships and regulatory requirements.
- Communication and Alignment: Proactively ensure cross-functional alignment on financial goals by integrating relevant data and coordinating teams.
- Treasury Coverage and Payment Execution: Provide coverage for the Treasury Lead as required, assist with weekly payment execution, and manage additional responsibilities set by the Head of Treasury.
Accountabilities
- Maintain and document reliable processes, ensuring that key treasury functions have comprehensive training materials for consistent coverage.
- Take initiative to harmonise various inputs, fostering strong process controls and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a point of contact for audits, ensuring timely responses and audit readiness.
- Actively participate in business initiatives that offer opportunities to streamline or enhance treasury operations.
- When required, act as a stand-in for the Head of Treasury.

- Qualifications: Part-qualified (ACT) or accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), with my client looking to actively support ongoing professional development.
