Reed is recruiting for a Commercial Account Executive to join a Bristol based business due to growth, on a full time, permanent basis.

Within this role, you will take care of client servicing, renewal of insurance programmes and claims support.

Working for a family run company who’ve been successfully servicing their clients for over 40 years.

Location: St George, Bristol (BS5)Working hours: Mon – Fri, 9-5 (hour for lunch).Overtime paid: For any extra hours that you work either side of the 9-5, you will be paid overtime on top of your annual salary. You can pick up any Saturday work, 9-1 (paid time and a half) but NOT mandatoryBenefits: Commission and Bonus, 28 days leave + BH, increases with service, subsidised parking, pension contribution, money towards a range of insurance products

Duties:Conducting telephone fact finds over the phone and producing insurance market submissionsAttending client meetings for the more complex client cases, when requiredHandling of own client casesidentify insurable risks in a client’s business and be able to advise as to appropriate solutionsMaintain sufficient pipeline of prospective clientsFull and accurate record keepingObtaining e-traded insurance terms to meet client requirementsMaintaining positive and professional relationships with underwriter partnersNegotiating with underwriters to obtain insurance terms to meet client requirementsProduction and delivery to the client of clear and FCA-compliant sales documents detailing recommended solutionsAnswering client queries during the policy year in a prompt and constructive fashionChecking the accuracy and completeness of policy documentation prior to dispatch to clientsAssisting clients with claims issuesCollection of premiums/premium finance agreementsRenewal of client accountsUp-sales and cross-salesDeveloping and maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients sufficient to achieve agreed sales targetsAttending networking events or trade shows when requiredUndertaking and recording Continual Professional Development to levels appropriate to the Account Executive’s CII qualificationResponding in a timely manner to the line manager’s or Compliance Department’s requests for declarations or input such as the Fit and Proper Declaration or the Gifts and Hospitality Declaration

Requirements:Experience working in a commercial insurance roleMember of the CII and working towards Dip CII qualification, ideally (opportunity given to study toward ACII if desired)The ability to work tenaciously to solve client problems, seeking input where appropriate from line management, or underwriters when neededThe ability to negotiate with a win-win mindset, looking for competitively priced solutions that meet client needs at terms that are economic for both the business and the chosen underwritersAmbitious, proactive, customer focused, integrity, practical forward-thinking outlook
